More Than Celluloid...

George Clooney's been pushing for peaceful change in the Sudan...

Ed Norton's been focusing on biodiversity, and sustainability and the environment.

And then there's Morgan Freeman, David Strathairn, Robert Redford, Mark Ruffalo and Leonardo DiCaprio - all have been vocal and active in the environmental, social justice/social change arenas...

Sean Penn has shown his concern for where this country is heading...

And Matt Damon came out in support of public education and teachers several months ago:

Seriously - all those Hollywood types - especially the men... you've all been PLAYING "hero" on celluloid... consider all those movies as dress rehearsals for the real thing... now's your chance to LIVE it...

We - the 99% - have reached critical mass...

Now it's your turn...

Brad, George, Matt, Sean, Robert, Dustin, Leo - put your (our) money where your mouths are...

GET TOGETHER - do the MUSKETEERS thing... OCCUPY HOLLYWOOD

Work collectively/collaboratively to effect the change you've each called for individually...

Once Upon A Time Minstrels Would Sing Of Love...

Not anymore...

Here's Ewan MacColl's offering (he was a communist from the English city of Manchester)...

Kind Friends We Have Never Met...

A very kind Facebook friend and fellow public education activist - whom I have never met - knows I was born in Holland and miss Dutch food and traditions.

She spent yesterday in her kitchen making a traditional Dutch Christmas treat - Kerststollen - and she made one for me!!!

It's travelling across country in the next couple of days for me and my son to enjoy...

This world is filled with wonderful, kind, thoughtful, giving people....

Thank you Conny...

Namaste
