There's something to be said for Kitchen Table Wisdom - you know, like in the old days when people sat around the kitchen table after a meal and talked about life, the universe and the meaning of it all - as well as the gossip doing the rounds in town...

Well, that's what this place is - a place to share common wisdom, thoughts and feelings about things important and unimportant, that bring us joy, laughter and happiness and that trouble, sadden, confuse and anger us ...

What I write here is what's 'real' for me. It won't always be PC or 'nice'. We're missing out on true connection and chances to grow and change because there's too little authenticity, too little honesty, too much holding back what we really feel and mean.

Welcome to my world...

I used to have a copyright claim here, but I've removed it...

Ideas don't belong to anyone -

they come to those who are receptive and are to be used for the well being of all...

I find images and movies and music all over the web

and I use them to accent/expand on my thoughts and understandings...

To Every Thing There Is A Season...

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die;

a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

a time to kill, and a time to heal;

a time to break down, and a time to build up;

a time to weep, and a time to laugh;

a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;

a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

a time to get, and a time to lose;

a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

a time to rend, and a time to sew;

a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

a time to love, and a time to hate;

a time of war, and a time of peace."

This Says It All...

... the geometry of death and life...

on the left - the pyramid - how we, in our arrogance and ignorance, have deluded ourselves into thinking the world is ordered (almost killing the planet in the process)...

and on the right - the circle - how it really is ...

If we want a future for ourselves, our children and the other surviving life forms with whom we share this time, space and place, we're going to have to re-frame our understanding, our choices and our actions...

It's time for:

Tribal Web...

"Hey, do you know something? You and I, all of us, are members of one family, we are sisters and brothers, and we are going to sink or swim, together."
~ Archbishop Desmond Tutu

LYRICS:
Where there's a music should be coming out of every car
There is a silence all over downtown
Where community celebration should be aroused
Life is on empty, Life is on pause

(Here it is)
No can do this!
No can do that!
What the hell can you do, my friend?
In this place that you call your town

(Here it is)
No can do this!
No can do that!
What the hell can you do, my friend?
In this place that you call your town

I guess you can't expect much from the hometown
Well I don't know if you can even call it your own
When they don't want you to get near excitement
In respect of that you just stay home

(Here it is now)
No can do this!
No can do that!
What the hell can you do, my friend?
In this place that you call your town

No can do this!
No can do that!
What the hell can you do, my friend?
In this place that you call your town

On intersection of all dimensions
Where I was stopping by just for a drink
I meet a brother from tribal connection!
And together we began to sing
We going to turn frustration into inspiration
Whatever demons are there, we going to set them free
Such is the method of tribal connection
Of our fun-loving, restless breed
Cus' I want to walk this earth like it is mine (It is MINE MINE MINE MINE!)
And so is everyone in our fun-loving tribe
Come on man, is it really so much to ask
From all these goddamn nazi-fuedals
But I'm going to take it to community
Because I want everyone to see
There never was any conspiracy
And we are all here simply to say, NOW!

No can do this!
No can do that!
What the hell can you do, my friend?
In this place that you call your town
No can do this!
No can do that!
What the hell can you do, my friend?
In this place that you call your town

Where there's a music should be coming out of every car
There is a silence all over downtown
Where community celebration should be aroused
Life is on empty, Life is on pause

(Only intersection semi-alive
Outskirts are sedated, be gone...)

Variations On A Theme - Gold...

All that glitters... usually is quite beautiful...

But can you feed your body AND your soul with gold?

And at what cost?

Seems to me we've learned little
from King Midas...

What A Wonderful World?

How can these two such very different realities exist in the same time and space?

All this, just so we can learn about the illusion of duality and separation?

The Wonderful World:

LYRICS:

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

More Favourite Things...

This time, the weather... the landscape... and where I would prefer to live...

I'm picky I guess...

Love the snow - the cold and the quality of the light...

Love the sunshine - the warmth and the quality of the light...

Love storms - the power let loose by nature and the quality of the light...

Anything in between, you can keep!

Love the ocean...

Love the mountains and forest...

 Love the desert...

Anything in between, you can keep!

Love living at the back of beyond with only the stars for company at night...

 Love living in the very middle of the city, with humanity buzzing and bustling all around...

Anything in between, you can keep!
