There's something to be said for Kitchen Table Wisdom - you know, like in the old days when people sat around the kitchen table after a meal and talked about life, the universe and the meaning of it all - as well as the gossip doing the rounds in town...

Well, that's what this place is - a place to share common wisdom, thoughts and feelings about things important and unimportant, that bring us joy, laughter and happiness and that trouble, sadden, confuse and anger us ...

What I write here is what's 'real' for me. It won't always be PC or 'nice'. We're missing out on true connection and chances to grow and change because there's too little authenticity, too little honesty, too much holding back what we really feel and mean.

Welcome to my world...

I used to have a copyright claim here, but I've removed it...

Ideas don't belong to anyone -

they come to those who are receptive and are to be used for the well being of all...

I find images and movies and music all over the web

and I use them to accent/expand on my thoughts and understandings...

What Was That About...

... "a warrior accepts that she can never know what will happen to her next"!?...
Weird two days...
Thought I had the housing situation covered for at least another week... ah, no, wrong...
Apparently the fairies got together overnight, whispered in the building owner's ears and nixed that plan - shades of Robbie Burns' "The best laid schemes o' mice an' men / Gang aft agley."

So, we got evicted on Thursday... guess no lifetime is complete without that experience...
Horrible on the one hand (harsh building owner who wouldn't abide by the agreement I had come to with building manager - his son), and heart-warming on the other (with people offering and giving help when I reached out)...
AND we're staying with friends for the weekend and will tackle the issue of housing on Monday...
AND I missed a court filing deadline yesterday (Friday) - couldn't get into town on time and then couldn't get the Court's e-filing system to upload my documents! -  but ex's attorney has agreed to a continuation, without me having to fight for it...
AND we had a civil conversation that was quite informative...
So...
While he is very anxious about all of this change, boy is pleased to be where we're at physically - he has a real live human playmate in the house and the Wii to spend hours and hours on!
AND the cats are just doing their usual thing, including Mork getting himself stuck up in the ceiling between two floors of this house...  The offer of food finally convinced him (reluctantly) to let me get him down...
AND many kind people showed they care about us and said/wrote lovely things about me in their character references - THANK YOU...
AND, I guess I'm being shown/am living the truth of what I profess/preach/am focused on teaching my son about being in the NOW... where, in this MOMENT - which is all we have - Life Is Beautiful

PS... trying to be subtle(!) in this post - let me know if you get what ideas the "mice and men" quote also refers to... AND if you can, please watch the movie at the link - it's worth every moment...
